Bi-weekly Orientation Call (Outreach Subgroup)
FOR WHO: Anyone who wants to volunteer for InterOccupy
PURPOSE: An introductory call designed to orient potential volunteers and new team members to InterOccupy. There will be an explanation of the short history of the organization, a full accounting of what services we offer the movement (along with our internal processes), a detailed description of the Committees of Correspondence concept and network, and plenty of time for questions and answers.

In Santa Barbara County, we are participating in the March 12 at the
County Recorders Office and also we are doing a petition for homeowners
to sign so we can deliver to the county recorder/DA/ and sheriff Dept

Hello Friends and Family…YES you have been invited. Although I believe this issue is truly everyone’s issue, not all of you are going to able to join us. I understand that so there is no need to respond if you are not going. Just commit to letting everyone you think may be able to attend, your friends and family in the surrounding Upstate NY areas would be great, but also, just in terms of support, by talking more about it, and saying “look what they are doing in Poughkeepsie NY” will help spread the word, maybe even to YOUR community (“if they do that in a little upstate town in NY maybe they can do that here”)…Rally, Stand Together, and please again IF you cannot come that is OK, DONT write that down here, no need to respond (But please do Respond if YOU DO INTEND ON GOING), just commit here to be a part of our community our Common Unity, from afar, by talking about issues of Race, and of Racial Profiling more often….we cannot and should not sweep this under the rug. OK Community, we have decided to keep the MOMENTUM moving, NO REST UNTIL ARREST, and keep Dialog about Changes that Need to Happen with Regard to Race, and Injustices that Keep Happening despite our Great Men Like Dr. King who Lived and Died for the Hope of Change….We cannot afford to stop this Rally, and we are inviting you all, your friends, your family from near and far to this event in the Park! There will be Music, Open Mice, Poetry/Spoken Word, Art, Speak Outs, and other ways for you to help us bring Awareness to the Community and Network with people who are working to change things. Be there!!

I agree, Rick! There won’t be any real change until we start electing courageous people who are willing to hold, and be held to, the tenants of the Occupy movement. It will be a hard fight, but worth it if we can start protecting and advancing the 99%.
