The date of May 12th 2012 was agreed unanimously as next date of BIG BIG global day by people from 10 countries, most of them international coordinators.
So it has become official.

Participants were from the following cities, states or countries: Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Brazil; Brussels, Belgium; Palo Alto, California, Kamloops, Canada; Nantes, France; Kauai, Hawaii; Rome, Italy; Barcelona, Madrid and Vigo, Spain; and Seattle, Washington.
Issue to be discussed:
To confirm or not the date of May 12th 2012 as the next BIG-BIG global day of action.
Coments:
The international movement started in the Arab Spring, continued in Spain and spreaded all over the world, claiming for democracy and social justice, has been a success. 15th October has been the milestone for the beginning of this international movement. But, at this moment, with the forces of capital leading Europe to collapse, the social struggle in USA and other countries, and the renewed social upset in Egypt, we need to make the next step. Not only to say everybody we are still here, but to make real claims to change the world. We must show we know our enemy, how to aim to our objectives, and go for them. And this objectives should be the painful ones. We need a next GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION. And as in Spain, we the second national day of action has a concrete claim (No to the Euro Pact!), after a first day with a generic one (United for a Global Change), we must select a concrete claim, which fits with the needs explained before: points to the core of the problem, to make harm to the enemies of social and economic justice and democracy.
In order to prepare a global day of action it is necesary time, efforts, coordination and previous actions that promote that final date.
Information and facts after the experience of 15.O:
- It is necesary around 6 months to do it.
- It is necesary a road map of actions that take to the final date.
- The choosen date should be weekend (Saturday preferably)
- We have to take in account the wether globaly North and South (April-May)
- In order to make the movement grow camps (occupation) should be happeneing after the demosntration.
Taking all this points in account the dates that may fill all of them are:

- 21 April
- 28 April
- 5 May +1

About the date of May 12th:
- It is not any anniversary/celebration date so it can not be confused or missunderstud with something different than what ever is asked on any place.
- May 12th is the Fair comerce day we can use that as a simil that “the people is not goods on hands of ploiticians and banksters”
- Chicago G8 2012 starts on May 15th, so if there is a big call on 12th it can be extensible as a protest against the G8 meeting on 15th
- There is as well the idea of a global/transition day called for May 15th
5M – World Day of Popular Assemblies:
I propose to create one world day of popular assemblies just one week befor the #12M. It will allow to prepare the troops. The idea is to make popular assemblies everywhere to allow the more as possible of people to participate to real democracy.

This a call for action on May-12-2012 (12.M) that invites all social movements to take action, but not as the only platform calling for action, nor as the owner of the protest, nor as the centralized organizer. Our mission should be to divulge this date as a day of global uprising, to organize all the actions we can from our group, and to support any other protest by other activist groups that share our goals, as we are just one among many.
In the interest of maximizing support and truly reaching across borders, we should strive to encompass in the message that this is a day of action for not one cause, but all. This day should be a rallying call for social justice, environmental justice, fair trade, and so on, to show how truly interconnected all of the issues we face today are.
FINAL DECISION:
May 12th 2012 will be the date for the next BIG BIG global rise up.

This focus on hurting the opponent is a dead end. The forces of oppression are gathering worldwide: indiscriminate killings, arrests, imprisoning and torture, are rife: public demonstrations and internet publicity do not stop this barbarity. Do you think it will make any diference which day is chosen? More people on the streets will mean more dead and injured.
One week before, a day of popular assemblies ‘to prepare the troops’. So it is already decided that these assemblies are there to support the war. This macho talk is just silly. What if the troops decide they don’t want to fight? They might want instead to tend their gardens and care for their cnildren.
The focus should be on buiding the alternative, not damaging the enemy. Many predict the imminence of a huge financial crash worldwide, which could produce chaos. We need to be ready to step in with institutions which serve the people, that is our role, to show there is a real alternative.

Anna is right, what we need are the engineers of an new and glorious free future society.. we need thinkers, builders, botanists, shaman, teachers, healers, creators.. we have to take our own future in our own hands, create anew atop the old world order, the jurassic power structure of energy, finance, uniformed fascism and religion..
We need to walk away from those who wish to cull 90% of us off indescrimantly within the next few years, the stiflers of alternative energies, the rapists of freedom, they brainwash the unwary with subliminal media, perverting innocence, these sick minds are behind all major terrorist attacks since the turn of the century, they knowingly poison whole populations slowly by hiding toxins in most products there to be consumed, absorbed or powered. the internet is our voice, the war has started to eradicate this right…we cannot trust the media, especially the news.
The goverments, big business, they will not let go..we have to turn our backs peacefully, with purpose, with conviction and a trust together we have all the answers.. . the only way to hurt this archaic system is to avert all that attention it demands, the participation of a sleep walking populace without purpose, without soul..
We need to channel co-operatively a vison most high, a new and noble society, enviromentally responsible, anti-capitalist system, nurturing of new technologies, creativity and personal development, a fully transparent and a truly democratic, rankless, ruling council.
Only when we conquer the mastery of our own destiny.. the need for governance by a big brother will cease to be a need. We are divine, cosmic in nature, and pure light, let’s be the majestic, loving, honourable, cosmically aware earth tribe we know ourselves to be, only then can we rightfully dream of achieving the fabled planetary ascension that has all along been our birthright.. .
