- Agenda Creation/ (Review) (10m)
- The agenda creation process can start before the meeting if people want to input their ideas for agenda items by compiling a master list of all the topics.
- We easily can do the agenda creation process on the call by having people say what agenda topics they would like discussed
- Prioritizing the agenda can be done before the call as well, simply by using an online form and allowing people to vote for the topics they think are more important.
- Prioritizing can also be done on the call simply by using the online form if people are at their computer, or by doing the “raised” hands appraaeraaewoach for the different items, which may take a little time, but can save a lot of time in the long run.
- Once the items are prioritized, we simply take the first few agenda items and consent that everyone is in agreement with them, and we have our agenda.
- (it is very important to have a clear list of agenda items because people naturally bring up unrelated issues when it is not clear when they will get the chance to do so. By having a clear agenda, the facilitator can easily say, that the comment is not part of the topic, and will be the next agenda item to help focus the discussion. the person will feel good about that because they know exactly when they will be able to bring up their point.)
- WRAP UP (Stop 20m early)

answer: Use the Google keypad
Will: Agenda for this meeting not clear. Scheduling for call, our name. People can bring up topics in the GA. then prioritize.

Michael: What is the date?
Answer: Starting Jan. 18th
Trainings on how to train other faciliatators included.
Name of the group:
????
Name of the call:
????
I don’t know what the difference is between the training of facilitation. Practice session for facilitation instead of a actual training.
Facilitation Skill building or Facilitation Process ??
Janet: Point of process didn’t get on stack when she attempted. Direct response: Brain storm Experienced Facilitation (some how to demostrate it is in use on the call)
Facilitation Process GATeach-in
Friendly amendments: Facilitators should be able to tell that there are many different options and we are perhaps needing a straw poll for this to determine
Cal: for stack check
Ritchie: Going back and forth. Facilitation/GA Process (3 twinkles)
Praxis is a word for learning.
William: Practice using a straw poll.
Facilitator nugget: Someone needs to be tracking the items that were taken down
Note taker is taking more specific notes and the facilitator has notes
Janet: Suggest Facilitator Practice/GA Process
Straw Polls: Being taken thru the phone.
Facilitation /Ga Process Call 2/4/4
Facilitation
Facilitation 2
Facilitation Skill Share 0
Facilitation Practicum/GA Process Call 2/1
Facilitation Praxis/GA Process 2/3
Facilitation Practice/ GA Process Call 2/4/3
Ended up with Facilitation/GA Process Call as the results of the straw poll.
Once you have your proposal then clarifying question, friendly amendment, then discussion and then call for a vote.
Janet: Was not clear on when to press 2 to vote. Say Press 2 NOW to clarify.
Repeat the proposal, ask for clarifying questions.
Janet: Proposal is this a name change? Remind them to repeat proposal in Pad.
Janet: Make it clear what to press when requesting for input. It is important to make it clear what they do to raise their hand on the call.
Ritchie: Just say is there any discussion? Then make it clear. If you are just repeating what the hand signals are then just be clear.
Before you are about to vote announce that it is being done.
Janet: Reminder, once you say what to do. Then say do it NOW. The best thing is to make it clear what the vote options are.
Comment from Janet: Anyone can type on this pad. Suggest using the chat on the bottom right for comments.
