I spend hours trying to go to each Facebook page in Texas (there are many, with at least 3 with OccupyTexas in the name) to gather information about what is going on currently or planned in the near future. Occupy Beaumont wants to report, at our meetings, what is going on statewide in the form of upcoming actions, rallies, etc. It sure would help us all if we had ONE place, maybe in the form of a calendar, that we could all reference, in one glance, what’s coming up in the different cities. Ultimately, it would be a good starting point for Texas to coordinate actions, when possible. And, the calendar could also include any actions that may be the result of a national effort.

1-16 There was a lot of promotion of the military at last year’s MLK Parade. After conferring with the local NAACP, we will pass out brochures using quotes to demonstrate MLK’s loathing of violence and militarism.
Last week’s call got us stoked on statewide actions in Houston, Austin and Chicago. We decided to fund raise by making and selling soap. Any orders?
