On Tuesday, November 30th, the Occupy Philly General Assembly unanimously endorsed plans by multiple working groups – including the Philly Occupy Together Working Group and the Committee of Correspondence – to host a large regional gathering on Saturday, December 10th.

The day will offer us the opportunity to build bridges of solidarity among Occupies, allowing us to get to know one another and the cause that we care about more deeply.

We will first get to know each other through icebreakers based on Theater of the Oppressed games, invented by Augusto Boal.  The structured and facilitated agenda will begin at 9am and end by 7pm, with discussion topics throughout suggested and determined by attendees themselves using a participatory democratic process. it’s all about the Benjamins…

You are invited to a one day regional gathering to be held on December 10, 2011 in Philadelphia at the Friends Center  (1501 Cherry St, Philadelphia, PA).   The day will offer us the opportunity to build bridges of solidarity among Occupies, allowing us to get to know one another and the cause that we care about more deeply. We will first get to know each other through icebreakers based on Theater of the Oppressed games, invented by Augusto Boal. Then we will use a format that enables us to generate the topics we will talk about together. We’ll have an opportunity for team building among local Occupies and report backs to the large group from each Occupy. Throughout the day a cafe room will be available for unstructured time just hanging out together.
