UPDATE 12/31/11
IF YOU ARE COMING TOMORROW THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ THIS!!!!!!
As the day draws closer I just wanted to provide a quick update to those of you that are coming out to support and participate in Bridging the Divide. It is important that we make it clear that this is NOT a protest nor a demonstration and that this event serves to promote peace, solidarity, and the idea that regardless of borders we will work together in the new year to solve problems together. Signs are not recommended, however, if you must bring one please make it non-confrontational in nature and keep your message congruent with one of solidarity and peace.
For those of you coming from out of town, I wanted to be transparent in letting you know that although Goat Island state park is a public park we do not have a permit to be in this park. I will be contacting the park today and letting them know we will be there, what our stated purpose is, and that we are peaceful (it is important that we remain this way). In addition, after the event, we invite you to come down to our camp to hang out and eat, talk, and discuss how we can be of help to each other in achieving our goals together in the future.
We will start the event with the exchange of letters of solidarity. Only a few people will be physically participating in this action for safety reasons. After this point we will begin the General Assembly. If you have any questions for Canada about their politics or their occupations and the effect their removals have had please bring them as we will open a section to discuss.
Please be courteous and respectful of the park by picking up after yourself and not making a mess!!!!! This is a communal park and it belongs to all of us!
Things to bring with you:
1. Yourself!
2. On the first declarations. (This will be a declaration of what you plan to do next year to better yourself, your community, and the world). This does not have to be political and can be fun! (1min per person)
3. A brown bag lunch and warm drinks. We will be providing limited snacks, coffee, and food for this event, however, we would be delighted to have you back at the camp after the event to eat and chat.
4. Please dress warm! It will likely be windy and a little wet due to the water from the falls. I just checked the weather and it looks like it will be gorgeous for this time of year at a temperature of 45 degrees, however, there is a 40% chance of precipitation.
5. Cameras and video recorders. The more video we have of this event the better!
6. A laptop. This will be good for allowing people in the crowd to view the canadian live stream so that we can see their general assembly if we wish. We will also be utilizing the human mic to broadcast messages from one side to the other by way of cell phones.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing this day of international peace with you. We’ve ALL done a great job up until this point and there will be many more successes to come; this is just the beginning!
Divided we WERE powerless, together we ARE giants!

On Sunday, January 1st, Occupy Buffalo in collaboration with Occupys from St. Catherines to Toronto will be hosting an event at Goat Island in Niagara Falls, NY entitled “Bridge The Divide”. When our politicians begin to globalize a worldwide economic crisis and the oppression of other populations through wars and trade embargoes, it is our duty to come together utilizing people power to globalize humanitarianism, equality, and TRUE freedom. On the first, we will hold an International General Assembly, where we will make vows to ourselves and humanity as a whole–vows for change. We will define a plan to stand up for justice, not as nations but as people, by collectively continuing the conversation our movement began. We can no longer wait for the bureaucracy that is our government to solve our problems.
On January 1st, U.N. Peace Day, we will show solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the North by exchanging letters of solidarity along with pledges to work together in the upcoming year. We welcome you to take part in a piece of history that will serve to change how we interact with each other every day.

Unite to fight on a single principle. End the creation of money by the banksters. Support the creation of money by a NEW people-owned central bank.
Once that is in place then all the NAFTA, Monsanto, government support for multinationals will fall away once you create the source of money creation.
And warn people that the transition to a fairer society is not necessarily going to be easy.

If you wake people up to that, then any electoral fraud will not happen as people will only vote in candidates that support this issue.
It is not voter suppression you got to take back control of the key issue, so any candidates cannot ignore it.
Money creation of
and not electoral fraud. the first guarantees the latter.
DO U get it?
