Kristen – Occupy Provedience College – small conservative college and we are just starting out.

Michael – Occupy USF – (Coalition building with other progressive groups) Jan 23 Republican debate – no students or public were allowed in to the debate – students organize a watch party – Occupy USF, Tampa, – huge coalition of progressive groups – 300-400 protestors  - led marches on campus USF republican debate

Occupy Colleges consented to Solidarity Wednesday February 1 in response to the police violence at Occupy Oakland and Occupy UC Riverside.

1. Should we change the nature of the petition due to Obama’s state of the union? Yes, and we will think about it and address it on the next call.

2. How do we keep Obama accountable?

 

Ryan – Occupy NCSU – Occupy Raleigh  - demonstration – predatory interest loans – student debt

Jerry –  lobbying student unions to put their money into credit unions

Shay – address the youth turn out that voted for him and his responsibility to his voters

Trip to visit Washington D.C. – How do we want to reform the system – we need to address Washington directly – bus students in -kinda like Occupy Congress – pair them with their congressman or senator
